Imitate God’s way to discipline children. Purpose of discipline is to (1) reinforce OBEDIENCE while (2) protect them from the danger and evil (3) give care and provision. I’ve focused (2) and (3) but I’ll focus on obedience from now. Help them to understand that their love us = 命令を守ること。

Thanksgiving

• a great sat out w. fam. I wanted to stay at home as it was really hot and I was really tiring after a week of work. Still, I was reminded that it is better for me to go with them, it is more fun and less chance for me to do wrong. it turned out wonderfully. see spouse’s happy smile. food at world neighbor was exceptional. the juice also was better than usual. An enjoyed the time, space and relationship w. the nokchan and ikuy. We were so glad that we got the photo they took and printed out for us. We feel love on the way we walk. I am so grateful ,Lord
• i waked up this morning with a mind knowing that I am blessed because of the Lord’s grace. I am so grateful for all that I have now. a united heart and mind w. spouse. an increasing fam. beautiful and healthy children. a work environment for me to dedicate myself. i chance to practice people scope w. the team (scrum master), desire to build up vision for the team. challenging but meaningful project to work on. and a desire to look for vision for my children, for the team. and most of all the desire to grow my LOVE for God and people. everything is so challenging beyond my physical capacity but everything is beautiful. I am tired but I can still walk w.o faint.
• grateful that I was able to organize some work early sat morning. read 1 paper for our science paper review and prep for nlp study group.
• we went outside for taiwan dinner.
• spouse is collaborating w. hard and soft attitude to discipline Na in her eating habit. I felt right and glad that he is joining more in the childcare. and I also recognized how incompetent I am so far in this area. I have help from the Lord and spouse now. I want to keep confidence that God will help us in this eat habit and take well care of her. I need your wisdom to follow along w. spouse, Lord.

Challenge

• very hot summer arriving early .. it is so tiring
• low condition: hurting leg
• An and spouse both had some slight symptom of catching a cough
• I want and need to trust God for my desire on promotion and income decrease because of the stock price is dropping
• I want to see the vision for team, children and career vision in the next season

Receive

• God loves you so much that He corrects, disciplines and forgives you when you’ve gone contrary to His will, word and way. → this made me think about An. I want to love her right that I correct, discipline and forgive her when she goes contrary to my will, effort and way!!!
• It is our sin and disobedience that result in negative consequences for our actions → I need to discipline her into a obedience with right attitude. How do I do that Lord. the world is hungry for wisdom to do that. Love and giving doesn’t work for children. words also doesn’t seem to work, giving too much could spoil them easily.
• The purpose of discipline is to reinforce obedience and for one to stay on God’s track and not the world’s track

• Thank you for giving me a firm understanding of discipline children, Lord. that the purpose of discipline is to (1) 🌸reinforce obedience while (2) 🌸protect them from the danger, enemy, the evil of the world and (3) 🌸 give them right care and provision. I’ve been focusing on (2) and (3) but I’ll focus on reinforcing their obedience, amen.
