Love will give you good things
Daily bible study — day 5
I love the way today message has framed about the right source of blessings in life: joy, peace, Love’s favor or luck, love and unity. My journaling at the end of 2020 was all about perfect unity in diversity. And I was set to explore about it this year, but I was also unclear as this sense of UNITY requires each of member of a group to be connected to the Head. This condition isn’t true for outsiders. A quick google search helped discovered that in 2020 there would be 2.6 billions Christian, or 33% of the world population. I am supposed to meet 1 Christian out of 3 random persons but it doesn’t really feel that way (still it is an encouraging number). The point is I feel that I am surrounded by outsiders. Our shared space is non-religious, we talked by what considered fact or number like what reported in the news, the metrics. So I felt a gap to bridge the biblical unity into a world full of outsiders (given many of them are kind and good). But today message shed a light of guidance for me. Eight beatitude are spiritual metrics and tools for me to work on myself, so that I might become a light that Love wants to show others. My focus should not be how to lead people by skillful words or stakeholder management skills but my focus should be skillful in understand spiritual hunger, contentment, mercifulness, purity and peace-making. This is the way of life, what is also called as ways of the Lord. When we meditate and apply these tools in our lives, our attitude, our behaviors would become a light (example) that people see and want. So I assume (believe) that this is the way I work to lead others indirectly through the way of Love. It feels right because this way is aligned with the Bible teaching, as this way would not bring the glory to me, but inspire others to think and seek Love themselves.
